Today was an extremely busy (and a bit rainy) day for the WVHS Band in London. The band split into three groups to tour several major London landmarks via bus (they prefer to be called 'coaches'). After lunch near the Tower of London, all groups boarded a large tour boat and we cruised down the Thames river until we arrived at Greenwich. We toured the Royal Observatory where students were able to stand in both the Eastern and Western Hemispheres simultaneously. We then walked down to the National Maritime Museum in order to spend some time wandering through the exhibits. Around 4:30 we hoped on our coaches and traveled back to the hotel. Everyone had the evening free to do as they wish.

ReplyDeletethe pictures are great..Loved seeing all the kids having fun!! Does anyone know who is in charge of WV Band publicity??? We need to get info to the local news channels. Tired of hearing of Soddy Daisy being in CA. I want WV in London to be shown too:)
